Perfectly set in 65 acres leading down to your own private beach, our Midweek Breaks are designed at a pace to suit you, so that you can do as little or as much as you like.
Outside of school holidays, the majority of our Midweek Breaks are ‘designed for adults’ where there are plenty of daytime activities to choose from, so that the young (and the young at heart) can enjoy a break of leisure and relaxation. These four night Midweek Breaks provide the perfect environment to enjoy a relaxing short break with like-minded friends, with first class entertainment every night of the week.
During school holidays our Midweek Breaks are ‘designed for all’ with the Resort offering entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Midweek Show Breaks – designed for adults or designed for all
Entertainment on our Designed for Adults Midweek Breaks generally features our talented Potters Theatre Company, but the best visiting cabarets will normally entertain you on one night of your break. And the fun doesn’t stop when the show finishes but continues with late night entertainment in the Terrace Bar.
In addition, during June and September our popular Big Band Breaks offer the very best in Big Band entertainment in the perfect venue of our Atlas Theatre.
Our Midweek Breaks are generally Monday to Friday, although there are some two-night Mini Midweek Breaks available; please see the Break Planner for further details.
Midweek Breaks Designed for All are scheduled to coincide with the school holidays and see additional activities such as our climbing challenge, extreme assault course, Rally Karts, family Olympics, KMX Bikes and much, much more thrilling the whole family. Throughout the break our Kids and Teens Clubs operate to keep the children entertained. Evening entertainment features Potters Theatre Company plus our very own (and very zany) Mark Brewer, as well as late night entertainment in the Terrace Bar. Free-to-enter Midweek Bowls Tournaments.
As the largest provider of bowls holidays in the UK our Midweek Bowls Tournament is the ‘must win’ event in many bowls club calendars. During the Indoor Bowls season most Midweeks offer a free-to-enter Bowls Tournament with not only great prizes available, but more importantly the prestige of winning through against up to 500 club members from throughout the UK.
However, there is plenty for the non-bowler to enjoy with a full schedule of daytime activities and a huge range of sporting and leisure facilities on offer. Due to the popularity of our Bowls Tournaments, roll ups tend to be limited.
At the end of a busy week it’s time to forget work and concentrate on revitalising the mind and body and what could be better than two or three days of entertainment, sports, leisure and fun? Be as active or relaxed as you wish, after all it’s your time, your choice.
There’s lots of fun activities you can choose throughout your day, with Indoor pools, snooker tables, a sports hall, bowls rinks, ten-pin bowling*, archery and shooting centre*, being just some of the facilities available on your weekend away. Added to which is a full sized football pitch, a 9-hole pitch ‘n’ putt golf course, adventure golf, tennis courts and miles of sandy beaches to explore. Our daytime entertainments team are also on hand to organise everything from competitions to quizzes, to ensure that not a second is wasted and the maximum of choice is available to everyone. Of course, you also have the alternative of a quiet lounge or perhaps being pampered in our Beauty Salon, Aphrodite.

The perfect Show Break
With your accommodation, excellent cuisine, sports activities, leisure facilities and so much more, plus our renowned warm and friendly atmosphere included in your break price, this definitely makes Potters the right choice for a great weekend away. Each and every night is tinged with stardust as our state-of-the-art Atlas Theatre opens its doors for another night of stunning entertainment, carrying on into the early hours with late night entertainment in the Terrace Bar or a disco in the Gallery Lounge. Throughout the year our two and three night weekends feature a range of entertainment from favourite star names and themed entertainment to Potters Theatre Company and the one and only Mark Brewer - all providing first class quality entertainment to suit every taste.
On our weekends ‘designed for adults’ we do not provide specific entertainment and activities for children and so you are less likely to see too many ‘little distractions’.
An Example of your Weekend Entertainment
Friday night is variety night with the wild and wacky Mark Brewer welcoming you to the Atlas Theatre.
The whole evening features Potters Theatre Company with a variety of shows such as Red Hot Pianos, and tributes to Abba & Queen, The Blues Brothers and Robbie & Kylie interspersed throughout the evening with Mark, Richard, Rachel, Buzby and others, who keep the entertainment flowing with laughs all the way, before the whole team joins together for the Grand Musical Finale.
The Atlas Theatre then opens up the dance floor to some great tunes performed by The ‘Untitled’ Band.
Late night live entertainment in the Terrace Bar, featuring singers, comics or live bands is the perfect end to a great night. Saturday night again features the whole Potters Theatre Company as they present their latest stage production, followed by Mark Brewer’s madcap comedy. A disco and late night music or comedy in the Terrace bar again ensures a full night of live entertainment.
