Chris Smith has toured with Frank Sinatra on many occasions, including his world tour - "The Ultimate Event". During his outstanding professional career, Chris has appeared with Tony Bennett, Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand plus many international Super Stars. As a young musician, Chris was a featured member of the John Dankworth Orchestra and later performed with the great Ted Heath Band until Ted's retirement.
Still only 27 years of age, Chris was by now one of the busiest trombone players in the recording studios. Soon he was to join the prolific Jack Parnell TV Orchestra where he remained for over 15 years, taking part in all the major TV shows at ATV, Borehamwood Studios, plus many Royal Command Performances at the London Palladium.
During this busy period each year for 5 years, Chris played for the Michael Aspel show at LWT, where he met and performed with such famous celebrities as Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor, Mel Brooks, Tony Curtis, Oliver Reed, George Segal, Mel Gibson and even Margaret Thatcher!!!
As a session musician, Chris can now be heard on hundreds of today's pop recordings.
His extensive work with Frank Sinatra and so many international stars coupled with his more intimate performances at venues, occasions and events up and down the country has led to Chris the trombonist and Chris the band leader becoming renowned for both his professionalism and his musical flair.
