This is a great compliment to our 400 plus friendly and hard working team but also testament to the profile of guests that we are fortunate to attract throughout the year who also interact with us and the team to create such a welcoming and safe environment for a holiday or short break at any time of year.
With probably the highest rate of revisiting guests in the tourism industry we hope that this speaks volumes to those discovering Potters for the first time. With our many regulars returning time and time again this has formed the backbone of our success, but equally as important has been these guests spreading a positive word of mouth and recommending Potters to others – a factor which is greatly appreciated and one which we rely upon almost solely as our main source of advertising.
Setting the scene
The Resort,
set in 65 acres is located on the coast in countryside but with the village of Hopton-on-Sea just a few minutes walk away.
The accommodation consists of some two hundred bungalows which stretch from the main facilities down towards the sea and our
own private beach – some are therefore close to the main facilities and the furthest of these involve a short walk - but benefit from being nearer to the sea. Car parks are situated around the Resort and close to most of the accommodation, we do not have a great deal of adjacent parking next to the units themselves, as we do not encourage traffic around the Resort where Guests are walking or relaxing in accommodation areas.
In addition to the bungalow accommodation the
Hotel comprises of 110 bedrooms which surround one side of the main building. This does allow indoor access into the main Resort building although the stroll can still take a few minutes to Reception.
Inside the Resort’s main building is the high domed
Garden Restaurant, which is alongside the state of the art cabaret style
Atlas Theatre. The
Gallery Lounge with its relaxing ambience does have a large screen TV for those major sporting events whilst the traditional style
Terrace Bar with its own stage is the venue for ‘Live’ late night entertainment and day time games and quizzes – as well as having five TV screens of its own for background viewing and extra space for your comfortable viewing of the major sporting events.
Some indoor sports such as
Snooker, Pool, Bowling, Squash and Ten Pin Bowling have their own rooms or areas whilst
Badminton, Volley Ball, Kurling and Five-a-Side Football are played in the large multi purpose sports hall or central activities hall.
Stepping outside and taking a few paces from the main building you will come across our fully fitted
Leisure Centre; Palms, our Beauty Studio; Aphrodite and the younger Children’s Play Room; the Playdium. A short stroll takes you to the indoor Archery and Air Rifle Centre.
Whilst not forgetting we have a
Pitch and Putt course, Adventure Golf, Football Pitch and Play area. There is so much to choose from - perfect for all the family.
We hope that you will enjoy visiting our website and browsing through the variety of breaks that will indeed include something to suit all tastes and ages.
We very much look forward to the opportunity of welcoming our many regulars and their recommended friends to Potters in the not too distant future.
The choice awaits you at the country's only Five Star Holiday Village.
