Since reopening on Friday 24th July, we’ve been able to provide our guests with the opportunity to get away safely over the course of a sold out summer, and have lots of fun with loved ones during what continues to be an uncertain period for all.

From Monday 21st September, the UK Government has made changes which may have an impact on your forthcoming break and future bookings.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept groups of over six people, unless they are members of the same household (i.e. family with over six people living in the same house) or they are part of a household support bubble (i.e. a single person with a family). We are able to accept single bookings consisting of multiple groups, and groups can include six people from multiple households. Please note, that while your group may be part of a larger booking, you are not permitted to join together in groups larger than six in any indoor or outdoor locations.

By law, our bars and restaurants have to finish serving drinks and snacks by 10 pm and close for the night, but this doesn’t mean you have to go to bed – unless you fancy an early night! Public spaces will still be open around the Resort for finishing off conversations and we do ask that guests are respectful to each other and of the regulations in place.

In addition, the show in the Atlas Theatre will continue past 10 pm, with the only limitation being that the bar will be closed.

If your party has upgraded to a Private Lounge, you will be able to relax there and enjoy the streamed entertainment on your Lounge TV until you retire to your accommodation for a good night’s sleep.

Face coverings are now mandatory in all indoor settings. To ensure we comply, all guests will be required to wear face coverings inside public areas (reception, corridors, staircases, etc.), during beauty treatments, in the Atlas Theatre, and prior to being seated at restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

All of the Potters team are also required to wear face coverings, either a face mask or face shield in all public areas of the Resort.

Having already developed our facilities to now include 50 Private Lounges, which are a perfect solution to the new Rule of Six, as well as our brand new outdoor South Terrace area, it’s vital we continue to adapt to the new normal, to ensure we can continue to offer the very best short breaks in the UK, all year round.

Over the month of September, we temporarily paused breaks at Potters Resort, in order to create larger venues for social distancing and more facilities to cater for the future new normal. We re-opened with these new venues on Monday 5th October, launching our new All-Inclusive breaks for this autumn and beyond.

If you were due to come and see us in the weeks ahead, you will have received an email or call from our team. We are now in the process of contacting guests due to arrive with us from December onwards. If you have any queries, please call our friendly team on 0333 3207 407.

For breaks beyond December, please be assured that we are honouring our commitments to you and will contact you as soon as we can to advise you of the status of your booking. We are contacting everyone in order of break date, but please understand that with the many tens of thousands of bookings that our home-working team is having to deal with, it will take some time to get to everyone. If you wish to change the date of your break, or you are in need of a refund, we will process these as soon as we are able, in order of break date, starting with the earliest first.

We continue to be mindful of the impact this extraordinary crisis is having on all our lives. We have received many hundreds of Facebook posts, tweets and emails wishing the Resort and our team well. This has been both humbling and reassuring, and we cannot thank you enough for your best wishes and support.

As a family run business that has weathered many storms in the last 100 years, we will continue to weather this one, and we look forward to welcoming you, the most wonderful guests in the world, back to Potters Resort in the months ahead.
