Supplements and prices

All prices are per person per Break, and all supplements are per adult and child per night, unless otherwise stated.

What’s included in your Potters Break

At Potters, we endeavour to ensure that as much as possible is included in the brochure price. This includes your accommodation, full board (from dinner on night of arrival through to breakfast on day of departure unless specified), entertainment, sports and leisure. Coin operated machines (including lockers, ten pin, arcade and squash court lights), bingo, retail outlets, drinks and snacks outside of included meals are chargeable. This list is not exhaustive and we reserve the right to amend and add additional optional activities and facilities for your enjoyment, which may be chargeable.

‘Drinks Inclusive’ and ‘Selected Wines served with Dinner’ Breaks

The term ‘Drinks Inclusive’ refers to inclusive drinks from the bars only and includes all standard draught beers, selected bottled beers, selected wines and single spirits with mixers from 6pm until close of bars on each night of your stay, unless stated otherwise. Non-standard drinks such as Champagne, cocktails, some shots and liqueurs are available to purchase from the bars at half the normal bar tariff during qualifying drinks inclusive times. 

At all other times drinks are chargeable at the standard bar tariff. Items (including drinks) sold in retail shops, salon, Palms etc. are not included. ‘Drinks inclusive’ does not cover any non-drink items e.g. snacks, sweets, or any non-bar retail outlets. Guests are required to wear a supplied wrist band to qualify for inclusive drinks and assist us in identifying you as a resident guest over the age of 18. 

Guests under 18, on Drinks Inclusive Breaks, will be given a different coloured wristband which will make them eligible for free soft drinks only during the qualifying drinks inclusive period. All adults on site are reminded to abide by the law by ensuring that children do not consume alcoholic drinks and any person found offering alcoholic drinks to persons under the age of 18 will be asked to leave the Resort immediately.

On breaks where ‘selected wines are served with dinner,’ pre-selected wines will be served from the start of service until 8pm. Included wine with dinner must be consumed within the restaurant.

Arrival and Departure Days

Accommodation keys are normally available from 2pm on your day of arrival except on Sundays when accommodation will not normally be available before 5pm and in any event not earlier than 4pm. We cannot release accommodation before this time as we need to ensure that all rooms are properly cleaned and prepared for your arrival. However, a small amount of accommodation on each break is available for early check-in for a supplement of £10 per room (normally 12 Noon or 3pm on Sundays).

On your departure day, all accommodation must be vacated by 10am (12 midday on Sundays). You can book a two-course arrival or departure lunch in our main restaurants for just £8.95 per adult and £5.95 for children. On certain Sundays when this is not available we offer ‘The Sunday Carvery’ in our Zest Restaurant with a main course offering for £9.95 per adult and £4.95 for children. Alternatively, our Terrace Bar offers a selection of light snacks.

Special Requests

All Special Requests will be noted on your booking on the understanding that we cannot guarantee these. If there is a request that you need confirming, say for a medical reason, please discuss it with us prior to making your reservation. These will then be detailed on your holiday confirmation, if they are not please telephone our Reservations Team before you arrive.

Little extras – free or to hire

We have a number of Cots and High Chairs available without a supplement if pre-booked. Not all our rooms are suitable for our modern net-sided travel cots, so please ask when making your original reservation. All our rooms (excluding standard Bungalows) provide a cooler. However, they may be unsuitable for particular medicines. If refrigeration is required please notify us at time of booking. Coolers can be hired for those staying in our standard Bungalows for £2.50 per day. Hairdryers are provided in all hotel and Bungalow Plus rooms. For other accommodation, they can be hired free of charge with a refundable deposit of £10 from Reception. We have wheelchairs for hire at £3 per day with a refundable £20 deposit

Accommodation

Bungalows close to the main Resort Building are in great demand so if this is a requirement due to medical conditions please discuss this with our Reservations Team at time of booking to check availability. Our Single Bungalows are located in the centre of the Bungalow Complex. Accommodation is serviced daily (except Bungalows on Sundays).

Specific room requests

Our reservations team will ensure that the room you are allocated matches your party’s requirements. However, if you would like to secure a specific room for your break, a nominal charge of £12 per room, per break, will be applied. However, if, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to honour a specific room number request, the charge will be refunded and the best alternative accommodation offered.

Entertainment

Due to the incredible demands of our entertainment programme we reserve the same rights as all professional theatres in that we cannot guarantee that any individual principal in the Potters Theatre Company, or featured named entertainers, including Mark Brewer, will be able to appear on every show or on every Break. We can however guarantee a thoroughly professional production every time the curtain goes up in the Atlas Theatre. 

All featured artistes are contracted in good faith, but in circumstances beyond our control we reserve the right to substitute another act/artiste without prior notice or refund – for full details see our Booking Terms and Conditions.

For certain star acts such as The Overtones, who attract a strong following, there will be a restriction on the number of seats available in the Atlas Theatre, as many guests choose to stand.

Restaurants

Guests are allocated the same table in the Garden or Gallery restaurant for the duration of their stay, so there’s no queuing. Tables are set for groups of 4, 6 and 8, with a limited number of tables for 2 available on request.

If you require a special diet please inform us at the time of making your reservation. If your requirements need extra special preparation we will arrange for one of our chefs to discuss these with you. Unless stated otherwise, all breaks commence with evening meal on the day of arrival and finish after breakfast on the day of departure, except for Sunday departures of weekend breaks when, although accommodation must be vacated by midday, lunch is included (this excludes one-night breaks which end on a Sunday, where lunch is not included). Arrival dinner is normally available up to 7.45pm and we regret we are unable to serve any meals after this time.

Sports and Activities

Due to reasons such as refurbishment, breakdown, scheduling, Health and Safety etc., we reserve the right to close certain sports and activities without prior notice or refund. Some activities are not available on every break. If you feel a particular facility or sport is a primary reason for selecting your Potters Break, you are requested to confirm this in writing prior to arrival.

Bowls Tournaments

During breaks which feature free-to-enter bowls tournaments, casual bowling and roll-ups will be restricted. In addition, on midweeks surrounding sporting or concert events, casual bowling and roll-ups are unlikely to be available.

Birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions

If you are planning a significant occasion then our team will help you to make it extra special. We can organise in-room treats, helium balloons, streamers, drinks, cakes, flowers and much more. Just call our Celebrations Team on 0333 3207 418 and we can turn your break into a memorable occasion.

Single-sex Groups

Please be aware, that in order to maintain our friendly, family atmosphere, Potters Resort reserves the right to refuse or cancel large single-sex bookings which consist of more than 8 guests, whether that is in a single booking or where we believe single bookings are linked together.

Potters Resort is committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all our guests. The lead booker for any group booking will be required to agree to and sign a code of conduct on behalf of the group.

Facebook and Resident Photographer Pictures and Videos

Pictures and videos are taken on Resort for publication on our Facebook page and other social media channels. If you would rather not appear in these photographs and/or videos then please make this known to the photographer at the time. In addition, our resident photographers take pictures for retail sale on Resort. All photographs remain the property of Potters. If you would rather not have your images posted in public albums then please make this known to the photographer at the time.

Smoking

In accordance with government legislation smoking is not permitted in any enclosed public space on the resort. For the comfort and benefit of our guests who wish to smoke external covered areas are available. Electronic cigarettes and equivalents are permitted in certain areas on Resort, bearing in mind the comfort of all our guests. Our full policy is available on request.

Special Assistance

It is important for guests requiring special assistance to discuss your requirements with our experienced team prior to confirming your booking, to avoid any misunderstandings that could lead to disappointment. We will be able to advise you on the suitability of our Resort, accommodation and facilities, plus discuss any reasonable request for equipment. 

Please take the time to consider what information would be useful to us in planning for your stay such as: do you have the ability to walk, but cannot negotiate stairs; if you use a wheelchair, do you require full access and is the wheelchair a standard size; do we need to consider any special storage requirements for equipment or medication; if you are bowling can you manage the step on the rinks; if you have visual or hearing impairments, or dietary requirements such as gluten free or vegan. With over 650 Guests checking-in around the same time our Reception is busy so please do not wait until your arrival to share any relevant information with us.

Any special arrangements must be agreed at the time of booking and confirmed by you using the designated Special Requirements Request Form prior to your arrival and this will be noted on your confirmation. Potters do not accept any liability for any costs incurred for special arrangements not agreed by us prior to booking confirmation and such costs may be forwarded onto you.

Our Resort does not have a resident doctor or nurse and is not equipped to provide special medical attention. If any member of your party requires such attention please make sure you have adequate arrangements in place prior to making your reservation.

Your safety is our concern, therefore if you are unable to hear a fire alarm, use a wheelchair or cannot descend stairs in the event of an emergency evacuation, please discuss with our Reservations Team so that special arrangements can be put in place.

Potters Resort Card

To give you the convenience of charging purchases such as drinks to your room during your stay, we will need to pre-authorise a credit/debit card. This only guarantees that you have the available funds to pay the balance of your final bill on departure. By charging to your room, you accept the Potters Resort standard terms and conditions, and agree to pay all outstanding charges in full on check-out from the Resort. When the outstanding charges are less than the authorisation taken on check-in, any amount not utilised will be released, however, we cannot control how long it will take for your bank to affect such release, but as a guide this may take up to three working days for a credit card account, and up to 10 working days for a standard debit card account.

Telephone calls

We may need to contact you prior to arrival and in such circumstances, we will use the telephone number you confirm with us at time of booking, so please make sure you give us the right details and update us on any changes.

Calls are charged at national rate and in many cases, count towards inclusive minutes on landline and mobile contracts.

Because we want to make sure we’re doing a good job, we may monitor or record our calls. We hope you don’t mind.
