We’re aware our New Breaks for the New Normal are a different concept to what you will have enjoyed in the past at Potters Resort. So we’ve listened to what you’ve been asking and produced this page, which we trust will prove helpful in answering your most burning questions...
Our ‘New Breaks for the New Normal’ combine all the elements of Potters that you know and love; entertainment, inclusive value, delicious food, the usual fun, madness and camaraderie, and above all else, Quality Time Together. But of course, things are different right now, so we’ve been busy coming up with different ways and ideas to do what we normally do, but safely. We believe we’ve created something truly unique in our industry, where you CAN enjoy all of the above, together with trusted friends and loved ones in a safe environment, and with peace of mind.
We’ve created 50 perfectly formed, mini restaurants where you can enjoy private dining with your loved ones, in your own group bubble. Your Restaurant Suite is provided in addition to your accommodation. In every Suite you’ll find private bathroom facilities and a fridge stocked with beers, wines, soft drinks and snacks, with our compliments, to help you get the party started. Restaurant Suites are available for parties of 6 or more. For smaller parties we have limited availability in our main restaurant, with social distancing built in.
Absolutely not. Our Restaurant Suites just give your party an additional and private space to enjoy our delicious food in a relaxed environment, but you can spend as much or as little time in there as you like. You are free to make use of the many indoor and outdoor facilities and activities available, or indeed take a stroll around our ramble or beach for a breath of fresh air.
When you make your booking we will chat through, as normal, your accommodation options suitable for any party size. If your party size is 6 more, we also provide a Restaurant Suite for your party to spend Quality Time Together, safely in your own private space. This Suite will be in addition to your accommodation.
Our Restaurant Suites offer additional and private dining for you and your loved ones, as well as a fridge full of drinks to get the party started! As such these would normally be an extra cost of £90 per Restaurant Suite, per night. BUT, for this summer, there will be a charge of £10 per person, per night (no charge for infants) and will be available for all parties of 6 guests or more.
Our breakfast and lunch menu is available between 8.30am and 4.00pm (excluding 10.30-11.00 as we move from breakfast service to lunch service). Start the day right with a choice of breakfast options ranging from a Full English to breakfast baps and salmon to cereals. Then, get your afternoon food fix from a choice of stone baked pizzas, burgers, salads and sandwiches, or maybe you’ll try one of our ‘Potters Specials’.
If your party is dining in one of our Restaurant Suites, just tap the button in your Suite. Our friendly team will come and take your order and deliver your food right to you. If you’re dining in our main restaurant, simply order from your table.
Dinner is served between 6.30pm and 8.00pm and again, there’s an extensive menu for you to choose from. If your party is dining in one of our Restaurant Suites, just pre-order for the following night using the forms provided and again, we’ll bring your food to your very own dinner party in your very own Suite! Pre-orders are not required if you are dining in our main restaurant.
With only 50 Restaurant Suites, this places a restriction on the number of guests that we can accommodate in those Suites. In certain circumstances where, for example, we have a number of high Restaurant Suite occupancies on an individual break, we may permit parties of 5 guests. In this instance, a Restaurant Suite supplement of £100 per break will be payable.
For smaller parties we have limited availability in our main restaurant, with social distancing built in but please be aware you will not have access to the additional space that our private Restaurant Suites provide, or the included fridge full of free drinks.
The South Terrace is our brand new social hub on Resort. Enjoy a drink from the comfort of your own Restaurant Suite which is just a few feet away from this amazing new facility, or indeed out on The South Terrace itself which has socially distanced seating, large canopied area, flame heaters, table service, and much more.
Our super-talented team is here to entertain, both live on the South Terrace Stage, and virtually through the Potters Live channel, which will be streamed live into your Restaurant Suite, bedrooms and around the resort. The new South Terrace is the place to be this summer, it is where you can listen to Roxy’s stunning vocals, take part in a quiz hosted by Mark, be transported from opera to musicals with Sion, or just sit back and relax as Buzby and James create chaos and fun. Alternatively, just keep the patio doors open on your Restaurant Suite and let the fun atmosphere accompany you whilst you relax and dine in your own safe space.
Current restrictions mean we cannot open our Atlas Theatre for live entertainment, so we won't be having full productions from Potters Theatre Company. Instead you can enjoy a variety of entertainment day and night from some of the Potters faces you know and love.
We need to have a clean gap between breaks to allow a complete sanitisation of the Resort to minimise the risk of cross-contamination. Therefore, we are unable to allow back-to-back break bookings.
The new South Terrace Restaurant Suites accommodate between 6 and 18 people each and this is your own private restaurant space. Just like any other restaurant, each Restaurant Suite can accommodate multiple households, as long as they are on tables that are socially distanced – but the difference is that you don’t have to share your restaurant with anyone outside of your trusted group. Our Restaurant Suites have been specifically designed as a Covid-19 mitigation measure, going further than the standard government guidelines to prevent any virus spread between parties, when compared to other large open plan restaurant options that are operating under the guidelines.
What makes our exclusive Restaurant Suites so unique is that trusted friends and family, outside of your close household bubble, can still enjoy the same Restaurant Suite, as we can arrange for separate tables to be set up, at least two metres apart, that will maintain social distance and ensure your comfort and safety.
There is no upper limit to your party size as we can allocate additional restaurant suites to your booking to suit your requirements. The only stipulation we have is that at least 6 guests are required to book one of our exclusive restaurant suites.
We have a dedicated party configuration 'bubble' expert, who will call you to go through your specific party's needs. They will ensure that your Restaurant Suite is set up to your requirements and adhere to the latest Government guidelines.
With the changing guidelines, it's difficult for us to list exactly what will and won't be available. What we can say is that our breaks will be full of fun, games and activities, set in our amazing location on the beautiful Norfolk coastline. Of course, as restrictions ease, we will open more facilities for your enjoyment.
If at all possible, you should bring your own equipment for any sports you may wish to play, subject to them being available. However, if you are unable to do so, we will still be able to provide equipment and items will be thoroughly cleaned after each use.
Of course. We're right on the beautiful Norfolk coast, the perfect place for a stroll and some fresh air and we'll have lots of fun things for you to enjoy on Resort.
There's never been a better time to visit the area and enjoy all the amazing attractions we have on our doorstep, all of whom have taken steps to ensure your visit is safe. Visit our page here to get a few ideas.
Treatments at Aphrodite will be available to book, which will be fully compliant with safety guidelines. However, the range of treatments available will depend on the government guidelines in force at the time of your break. The Hair Salon will also be open for the summer season based on current guidance. We strongly recommend booking appointments prior to arrival. Our indoor pools may also be available (subject to government instruction). Take a dip in one of two heated indoor pools along with a sauna, whirlpool and steam room in our Palms Health and Fitness Centre.
Our Pop-in-Shop is open for essential items. We'd just ask that you take note of the guidance we are providing and to ensure the safety of your fellow guests and our team.
We don't anticipate that either of these restaurants will be able to re-open this summer.
Much depends on the government restrictions and social distancing guidelines. For now, we're thrilled we can open our doors to our wonderful guests with our New Breaks for the New Normal. What you always find at Potters is camaraderie and a community of like-minded guests who love to enjoy Quality Time Together.
We are currently taking bookings for breaks between the 17th July and the 31st August. We are mindful of the changing government guidance and we will be finalising our plans for autumn breaks shortly. If you already have a booking for September or October, you will be the first to know of our plans and we will be in contact as soon as possible.
Despite retiring last summer, The Green Goddess has suggested a comeback may be on the cards to help you regain your fitness and physique post-lockdown.
The general Potters Resort Helpful & Important Information, and the Booking Terms and Conditions, as detailed in the current brochure and on the main Potters Resort website, apply to all bookings.
In addition, the following clauses apply to all bookings on Potters Resort’s New Breaks for the New Normal.
Your booking is covered by The Potters Resort Book with Confidence Guarantee. The Guarantee is free of charge and applies to all existing and new bookings for 2020 and 2021. For full details of our guarantee, visit https://www.pottersholidays.com/new-breaks-for-a-new-normal/coronavirus-guarantee.
All guests are required to complete a health questionnaire and undergo a temperature screening on arrival for their break. Should any guest have an abnormal temperature, or any other Covid-19 symptoms, they will not be permitted to stay and they, as well as all guests who have shared their mode of transportation, will be asked to leave.
If any guest experiences any symptoms that are Covid-19 related whilst on Resort, they must make this known to Potters Resort’s management, who will isolate them whilst arrangements are made for them, and all guests who are sharing accommodation and a Restaurant Suite, can safely leave the Resort.
All monies paid from the time of the break’s termination will be refunded, but only if the guest reports their condition immediately and exercises full compliance with management requests to help protect the well-being and safety of all guests and team members.
All guests are required to give their name and contact telephone number to Potters Resort as a condition of booking and in compliance with Government instruction. Potters Resort will retain this information for as long as the Government instructs as part of their track and trace initiative and all records will be handled in accordance with full GDPR compliance.
The exclusive Restaurant Suites are all small individual en-suite restaurants and as such, if a party is larger than the current permissible two household bubble size, as defined by Government guidance, we can arrange for separate tables to be set up, at least two metres apart, that will maintain social distance and ensure guests comfort and safety just as any other restaurant setting. These self contained smaller restaurant spaces allow for private groups who know and trust each other to book together without having to share spaces with strangers as one would in a normal larger public restaurant setting. This has been specifically designed as a covid mitigation measure and goes further than the standard government guidelines to prevent any virus spread between parties when compared to other large open plan restaurant options that could be operated under the guidelines.
As the government guidelines are changing regularly, we will endeavour to update and keep customers informed at all times.
It is also the responsibility of all individuals to review existing advice and ensure that they are familiar with, and acting in accordance with, all relevant guidelines.
The facilities and activities listed, and the entertainment offering described, on the Potters Resort New Breaks for the New Normal website (https://www.pottersholidays.com/new-breaks-for-a-new-normal) is intended for guidance only. It is likely that some facilities and activities will not be available, whilst others not detailed will be. The entertainment offering is also subject to change and we reserve the right to do so without prior consent. This is due to the changing Governmental guidance and bookings are accepted in good faith and on the understanding that any specific facilities, activities, entertainment or service will not be operated against any prevailing government guidelines and this is not cause for compensation or non performance of our contract. We will always aim to provide the best experience possible whilst always putting our guests, our teams and our community’s safety first and foremost at all times.
