Many social, sports and leisure clubs come to Potters throughout the year, and we welcome around 500 group organisers every year, with a specialist groups team of 16 professionals with over 120 years’ experience in the groups market.
Awards voted for by guests are always really special and we are pleased to announce that we have been recognised by readers of Group Leisure & Travel magazine at its annual awards, which celebrates first class destinations, attractions and providers across group travel.
Potters scooped an award for ‘Best Accommodation for Groups’ at the awards, held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 10th October 2018.
We beat-off competition from Warner Leisure Hotels, Daish’s Holidays, HF Holidays, Mill Rythe Holiday Village (Away Resorts) and Rendezvous Hotel at Skipton who were shortlisted in the same category.
Sallyanne Gooch, our Group & Commercial Sales Director at Potters Resort said: “We are very proud of the personal service we offer and it’s wonderful to receive such an award in recognition of the hard work that the whole Potters team provides throughout the year to make breaks so memorable for guests and ensure that groups from across the country choose Potters to enjoy a short break. What makes this award extra special is that it’s voted for by the readers, so a massive thank you to everyone for voting for us.”
Group Leisure & Travel editor, Keeley Rodgers, said: “Our readers have had their say on the best across the group leisure and travel industry and what a fantastic array of providers, attractions and destinations we have. The quality this year has been so good that some outstanding attractions and companies didn’t even make the shortlist. A huge congratulations to all of the finalists and of course, our ultimate winners. They continue to prove that if you get it right, you reap the rewards, receive the kudos and, most importantly, retain and attract group business.”
The awards were presented by TV personality and self-confessed ‘culture vulture’ Gyles Brandreth, alongside Group Leisure & Travel Magazine publisher Rob Yandell.
Well done to all the finalists and winners, and a massive thank to you for everyone who voted.
