We love getting feedback from our guests and recently received a lovely letter from Debbie Fowler, a first time guest at Potters, telling us all about her Potters break.
Here is what Debbie said…
I have just returned from a long weekend stay on Best of British Weekend with my husband and our very good friends. My friend’s husband had a milestone birthday before Christmas so what with busy lives leading up to Christmas and New Year we booked the first week in January for our treat for his birthday.
Well we were not disappointed, oh my goodness what fun! What a scream we’ve had, it’s been absolutely great, in fact so much we were due to leave on Sunday but we booked another night whilst we were there! Bring it on Potters, we were up for it!
We did Segway, Clay Pigeon shooting, Archery, Swimming, Jacuzzi, Darts, Ten Pin bowling and the Giant’s Swing. Loved it all… just loved it!
After a Christmas of hosting and cooking for the rest of the family, to be shown to your table and offered food of the God’s was pure heaven and what good quality food it was – the Sea Bass was to die for! I could actually go on about the food indefinitely as we were so impressed with the lovely food and so much on offer too. Our waiter Elliot couldn’t have been more attentive and really looked after us.
Then evening entertainment… definitely as good as any West End show I have seen with the glitz and glamour, and the costume changes and the singers. We were blown away and in fact my voice is still a bit blown away today as I sound like Barry White after screaming and singing along to The Upbeat Beatles!
Thank you Potters and thank you Potterettes for looking after us so well. Keep up the good work and see you soon.
After receiving this lovely letter, we got in touch with Debbie to ask her a few more questions…
Debbie, thanks for taking the time to write to us. Why did you choose Potters Resort for your break?
My hairdresser has been and tries to come at least once a year with a bunch of her girlfriends as their annual get together and she literally gushes about how lovely it all is. As you might have guessed we were all Potters virgins, never been before, had no idea of the set-up, or what to expect. It was the only time we have ever been away and actually stayed on the Resort as there was so much to do.
What surprised you most about the Resort?
The cleanliness, the organisation – we booked another night but our dining table remained the same, the head staff in the Garden Restaurant already had us marked as staying on. The warm rooms, we were in a bungalow and it was really toasty even though it was cold outside, and the carpet was clean.
My colleague is trying to establish whether it would be suitable for her family and extended family – she has an eight year old, her mum and dad are in their seventies and she has a brother with teenagers – so enter me, doing impressions of the Divaz girl group and singing! My colleague is already impressed, not at me, but at the fact that the musical show included newer songs and also older ones that mums and dads know and can sing along to. Don’t even ask me how my Riverdance is going, and all this in a firm of solicitors!
I never found another person who hadn’t been before when we spoke to people - everyone else had been coming for years!
How do we compare to any other UK holiday Resorts you might have been to?
I’ve never been to Centre Parcs, but our friends have and said that Potters entertainment trumped anything they’d seen anywhere else!
How would you describe the Resort in three words?
Fun, Friendly, Outstanding.
Thanks Debbie. Do keep sending us your feedback and you might feature on our blog soon!
