Potters has become a TripAdvisor® GreenLeader, highlighting our green environment practices and sustainability.
Launched last year, the GreenLeader programme from the world's largest travel site aims to give consumers around the world a simple way to make greener travel choices.
To receive the silver accolade, we had to meet strict requirements, including the implementation of a linen and towel re-use plan, energy tracking system, recycling plan, energy-efficient lighting and staff training about green practices.
We caught up with Andrew Broom, our Buildings and Developments Manager, who said: “We have invested in low energy and LED lamps throughout the Resort and continue to recycle as much waste as possible, including metals, plastics, cardboard, paper and glass. Our investment in voltage reduction equipment helps reduce our overall electricity usage, and refurbishment of our bungalows and improvements in the glazing has helped prevent heat loss.”
Our MD, John Potter, said: “It’s a huge achievement for us to be recognised for our green practices and we try and do as much as we can to meet eco-friendly standards.”
