This Christmas our talented entertainments director, Nigel Pattle, has teamed up with our incredible vocalist, Roxy Yarnold, to join forces on an original Christmas song written by Nigel.
Everybody Loves Christmas is available from Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and all the major platforms now.
The festive, upbeat song has been wowing live audiences in the Atlas Theatre at Potters Resort every night, with the incredibly catchy tune and soulful vocal making it stand out as a potential Christmas classic!
Nigel has spent the past 42 years in the music and entertainments industry. The entertainments director has been working at Potters Resort for 34 years and started writing songs in the 1980s but only for fun. This is the first time he has decided to “go for it” and have a song produced and released to the outside world.
We caught up with Nigel, who says: “I have been writing songs since I was 20 years old but always hoped one day to write a Christmas song that could last, like the classics from Mariah Carey, Shakin’ Stevens, Roy Wood and Slade. Nobody seemed to be writing family friendly Christmas songs anymore so I thought why not give it a try. The result is Everybody Loves Christmas and it is a great song for the radio for the whole family to sing along to. I’m thrilled that so many people have raved about the song, especially the immensely talented Roxy who has given life to the song with her incredible voice.”
Roxy, 27, originally from Essex, has been singing from the age of five, has worked and toured with Westlife and Shane Ward, co-wrote songs with Gary Kemp, and even competed in the X Factor in 2011, getting a standing ovation and Gary Barlow even describing her voice as “brown sugar.”
Roxy says: “Everybody Loves Christmas is such a feel-good song, and really captures the magic and joy of Christmas. When Nigel played me the song and asked me to record it, I jumped at the chance. We have been performing the song live in front of audiences every night and everyone is saying how catchy it is, so we knew we had to release it. I’m really excited for everyone to hear it. It’s guaranteed to get stuck in your head."
We can guarantee that it is indeed a very catchy Christmas song, which you will be singing well after Christmas has passed!
