Wednesday 25th September 2019 is National Fitness Day and to celebrate Palms Health & Fitness Club is hosting some special events to encourage people to move more.
Swim the Channel will allow members, non-members and guests of Potters Resort to help swim a combined 21 miles, the shortest route to swim The English Channel, in the swimming pool at Palms. A combined total of 1,344 lengths will add up to the 21 miles needed.
A National Fitness Day Classathon will also take place from 6pm to 8pm at Potters with five different classes over two hours, including step, strut, strong, sculpt and supple strength. This needs to be booked in advance by calling Palms or members can book on the app Gym Sync.
Plus, for one day only, on 25th September, Palms is holding an open day, so locals can try the club for free and use the gym, swimming pools and poolside spa facilities.
National Fitness Day is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping raise awareness of its importance in helping lead healthier and active lifestyles.
All activities will take place for one day only on Wednesday 25th September 2019. Non-members can just turn up on the day to use the facilities but the Classathon does need to be booked in advance for all attendees due to limited spaces.
