At 10am you could be speeding around the track at Potters Rally Karts, enjoying the thrill of an Off Road Segway Challenge, doing Laser Clays, taking aim at .177 Air Rifle Shooting or learning some skills at Football Coaching.
Your summer days at Potters can be as non-stop as you want, with a pit stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner, not to mention a midnight ‘dish of the day’, to fuel your activities. There is so much to enjoy and that is why we call it #SummerofFun!
While there are dozens of things to do every single day, we’ve put together five things not to be missed on a summer break…
Go to the theatre
In the evenings take a seat in the Atlas Theatre and be entertained by Potters Theatre Company. Their shows are described by guests as West End quality and the Company create and produce brand new shows for guests every year. This summer is no different as they perform their new show, Broadway and Beyond; a show celebrating some of the best musicals and movie musicals of all time. The Company will sing and dance to some of the best tunes from over a dozen musicals and wow you with their stunning outfits. Read more about the show here.
Other shows include a celebration of music legends and one that will take you around the world in a celebration of the best in music and dance.
Plus, our comedy team will be on hand to lighten up proceedings and put a smile on your face.
Get excited by science
For the first time we are bringing science to our summer offering as we are joined by Exciting Science. This show makes science fun with explosions and bangs, and will be performed in the Atlas Theatre as you enjoy the spectacle from your seat.
You’ll wish that science lessons at school had been this much fun and is educational, while astounding everyone who watches it! The whole family will love it and the show encourages audience participation, with some opportunities for youngsters to get on stage and join in. We can’t wait! Find out more about the show and what to expect here.
All the fun of the fayre
Nothing brings everyone together like some traditional family fun and games, and Potters Street Fayre is the perfect way to have some fun and get all ages to bond and spend quality time together.
When the Street Fayre is held nearly everyone comes to it and it feels like a real community as you play games, take part in some silly competitions, throw a pie in the face of someone and enjoy some live music entertainment.
In the summer, it is held outside, weather permitting!
Get some sea air
It wouldn’t be summer without a trip to the beach and you can take a daily walk to ours as you head past the bungalows down by the football pitch and take the steps down to the beach. Enjoy some sea air, especially good on a hot summer’s day, which this summer is predicted to be!
And, if you want to go for a swim to cool off, we have swimming pools in Palms Health & Fitness Club to enjoy. Relax on one of the sunbeds, enjoy the bubbles in the luxury Whirlpool and let the little ones splash in the baby pool.
This isn’t just any football coaching, this is football coaching with ex Leeds and England footballing legend, Paul Reaney! Paul was one of the fastest and fittest football players of his time, receiving three England caps and playing for Leeds in their glory days. George Best rated him as one of the two best defenders he ever played against!
Paul is a hit with the children he coaches and is a real character, being just as popular with the adults watching as he is with the children he is coaching. Paul will help little ones gain confidence, teach them some moves and have fun on the pitch.
All of this is included in your Potters break price.
Please note that Football Coaching is on summer breaks from 20th July 2019 and Exciting Science is on breaks from 22nd July 2019.
