Robert Paxton

Ranked #8

Robert Paxton

A highly consistent draw bowler, Robert Paxton is comfortable on both indoor and outdoor greens and not only claimed the world triples title for England in New Zealand in 2016, but also won a bronze medal in the singles as part of England's 2018 Commonwealth Games team.

He hasn't quite managed to win the World Indoor Singles title, but he's been just one step away twice, losing out to Nick Brett in 2016, and again on a tie-break to Mark Dawes in 2018.

That doesn't mean the Devon bowler hasn't enjoyed World Bowls Tour success however, with a Scottish International Open win in 2011, and the pairs and mixed pairs double at Potters in 2015, as well as another mixed title, alongside Ellen Falkner, in 2019.
